i recall when i first saw chen long form and watching this you can easily see various methods/techniques that are in there chen style which they began to call taiji. what i haven't found yet and might never. are the form like this and them the transitions of the chen tai chi forms that were changed to become taichi.

For those interested, there are two books published in English (that I have been able to find) on Cha'ng Style Tai-Chi Ch'uan: 1. "Ch'ang Style T'ai-Chi-Ch'uan (modified short form) by CHI-HSIU D. WENG." 2. "Ch'ang-Shih Tai-Chi Ch'uan The Ultimate in Health and Self-Defense by Frank DeMaria" If you are interested in see the combative applications of the form, I would recommend Dr.Chi-Hsiu D. Weng's book. It is quite excellent. Ch'ang Style Tai-Chi-Ch'uan is a modified version of Yang Style Tai-Chi-Chuan, Master Cha'ng, (China's premier Combat Fighter of his day and China's Heavyweight National Champion) made additions/deletions and modified some movements in order to strengthen the style for Combat use. - SIFU Bryan Baskett
He is one of the very top Tai Chi masters. Only those who have played with him would know. You can't tell much from just looking at a video, you have to feel it.

It tells me that he can generate a lot of power. It isn't a demonstration of technique or fighting ability.

its not, nor meant to be! ...it is just a poor translation for "real applications"....the GM is doing demonstrations of the application techniques within various forms.

Looks similar to the one I just got, I traded a fender road worn for a Greco se800t the guy had it labeled on graiglist as a se1000 but when I googled the serial number the actual guitar showed up on some Japanese websites as a st800 It's amazing and mint, the neck is clean but the body has a few dings and some checking

To Spirit of Taijiquan: Greetings. This not Push hands but Dalu: Big Roll. 8 gates, the four directions and the four corners, etc. As such, it contains 8 motions: four advancing and four moving backwards. Once learned you connect to a partner and as one advances with Peng, Chi, elbow and Pull down, the moving back partner does roll back, an (push down); pull down and split. This is not Wu Style but Beijing Wu Style. It does not come from Wu Chienchuan (Wu in the South) but from his Taiji Senior brother Wang Maozhai. Wang MaoZhai learned from Quan Yu (father of Wu Chienchuan). When Wu Chien Chuan adopted the Han Name Wu, he moved to Shanghai. (Wu in the south). The Group that stay in Beijing under Wang Maozhai was known as Wang in the north. That lineage continued with Yang Yuting and Wang Peisheng. At Wang's time the arts were not as differentiated as know. Masters of great skill often said:" five elements in the feet, Bagua in the hands and Taiji in the head" Wang Peisheng is showing the 8 hands Techniques (gates); the footwork of Xing I (or Bagua, when he switches) all directed by a Taiji Spirit. Yes, there is Dalu with Bagua footwork as well as there is Baqua with linear steps. Look in youtube for: Liu Style Bagua 64 Palms.

+Samuel Brentnall taiji is a martial art as well as a way to cultivate one's self. Quantum void, whatever you mean by that (do you mean the realm of quantum mechanics?) is not affected by nor connected to your bodily actions. Lest you contest that claim, the difference between a muscle or bone of your body, and the quantum "void" as you call it is greater on scale than the distance to the nearest star outside of our own. The woo woo in taiji is what kills it for most people ever "getting" it. Most of the new age babble you've provided is unproven, and unsubstantiated bunk.
